Are you planning to travel this season?  If you or someone in your family suffers from motion sickness, Eden’s Gardens Essential Oils can make your trip much more enjoyable.

Eden’s Garden’s Essential Oils take motion sicknesses out of our road trips.  With 8 kids, it seemed like one of my kids were car sick on every road trip.  Dramamine helped but it made them so tired that they couldn’t enjoy themselves when we got where we were going.

Eden's Gardens Car Sick Roller

So as a very frugal mom of 8 kids who really wanted my kids to enjoy the trip and be able to have fun later, I looked for something that would help my kids with their motion sickness without making them sleepy.

I love essential oils so I played around with some combinations until I found this recipe that has worked perfectly!  I add 20 drops of Peppermint, 15 drops of Ginger, 10 drops of Lavender, 5 drops of Lemongrass to a small roller and fill the rest with Almond carrier oil.  You may want to increase the peppermint or ginger to suit your personal tastes.

My family likes the peppermint to be the strongest smell.   We find the scent of this roller to be really nice.  It’s not over powering and the oils blend very well.  My family takes this roller with us every time we travel.  Everyone who gets car sick puts it on under their nose and on their chest before we leave.  If anyone starts to feel sick, they put more on.

Since we started using this roller, we have not had to use Dramamine and no one has gotten motion sickness.  Road trips with my family are much more fun!  We use this at home if anyone feels sick to their stomach and it is a favorite with my kids.  Eden’s Garden Essential Oils are very inexpensive so this roller costs under $1.00 per bottle.

If you want to know why I believe Eden’s Gardens Essential Oils are the best quality for the value and other ways I use them to improve my family’s health, see my post here.

I use and highly recommend these Eden’s Gardens Essential Oils and here are some more of my favorites:

  1. What size is a “small” roller?

  2. Can you use coconut oil instead of the almond oil??

    1. Yes! You can use any carrier oil you like. Coconut should be good but I would be careful of using it if it has a strong odor.

  3. Where do you apply the oils? That is always my main question. So many suggested blends out there but no one ever mentions how you apply them. Very excited to try this as we leave for our cruise in 2 weeks!

    1. I apply this roller on my chest and neck. I also sometimes put it on the inner wrist. Have fun on your cruise!

  4. Love the blend. Just waiting for my ginger to come in. Quick question for you as well. I saw you use disposable pipettes. Do you clean them out and reuse them for the same oil? Or do you use a new one each time, with each oil?

    1. I clean them and have one for each oil. You will love this blend!

  6. I am soooo paying attention to this. I get the worst motion sickness. In fact, we have one of the most scenic places in the US just an hour south, but I never want to go because the drive is SOOOO brutal and makes me car sick. Thanks for this post!
