My family loves this chocolate malt! It’s one of  our family favorites.

My daughter just had her tonsils out and her poor throat is really hurting.  We have a serious supply of ice cream, popsicles, jello, and pudding. Everything hurts her throat and it has been so hard to get her to eat or drink anything until we made her this chocolate malt.  The chocolate malt is cold, creamy, and chocolatey and so good she drank the whole glass!

Simple, delicious chocolate malt

A chocolate malt is like a milkshake but it is usually thicker and has a richer taste than a milkshake.  My family loves chocolate malts and we love how easy they are to make.  I love to use Tillamook Ice Cream because it is so smooth and creamy, and I add the bananas to help with texture and make it more healthy.  My favorite ingredient is the Carnation Malted Milk.  It adds the old fashioned flavor and texture.

If you are looking for a creamy, chocolatey, treat your whole family will love, you are going to love this recipe!

My family loves this simple old fashioned chocolate malts.

  • Add all ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth.

  • Optional flavors are endless.  My family likes strawberry malts, caramel malts, black cherry malts and there are many more!

Whether you are recovering from getting your tonsils out, or you just want a rich, chocolatey treat, this recipe is a sure winner!  My family loves these chocolate malts in the summer as a cool treat, or anytime!
