Teenager Tips By Chloe: My teenage daughter gues posts again to each teenagers how they should do their chores very slowly so that they don't have any free time.

How to Do Your Chores Very Slowly
(Guest Post by Chloe my teenage daughter)

Hey guys it’s Chloe again to give teens a tip on another important skill. Do you have chores to do around your house?  Then you need to learn how to do them really slowly!

Do you have some chores that you hate? If you do, then what is your worst chore?  I personally hate sweeping.  It is boring.  If you have a chore like this but have nothing else to do all day. You should do your chores really slowly for theses four reasons:

  1. If you are bored and have no desire to hang out with  you friends, watch a movie , go swimming or have some time to yourself, you should take three or four hours to do your chores. Doing chores slowly takes up your time and you do not need to think about any thing else.
  2. Doing chores slowly is easy because you don’t really have to try. You just have to really hate that chore and just sit there and not even try to work . You should move every once in a while to make it look like you are working so you do not get in trouble.
  3. Doing our chores slowly  is fun because you can make it into a game. You can just sit there and pretend to work on it very slowly. You should try to take as long as possible without getting in trouble. See if you can go longer without getting into trouble than you did the last time.
  4. Taking a long time to do your chores drives your mom crazy because she thinks it is a waste of your time.
Teenager Tips by Chloe Do Your Chores Very Slowly

My teenage daughter guest posts again to teach teenagers another important skill.

You have to be careful doing your chores really slowly because it can back fire.  You will successfully waste your day but it might also waste more days if your mom gets too mad.  She might think that you need to do more work because she thinks that you need more practice doing that chore to get faster. She could give you another chore it will most likely be harder then the last. She does that so you can get better at doing cores faster.

Your mom might think you are wasting time.  Why does she think that it is a waste of time? I will tell you why. She thinks that it is a waste of time because you should be out with friends or doing something fun instead of doing your chores all day.

Oh, she just does not understand.  We really don’t want to have any free time or fun.  Those silly moms!

  2. Oh how this brings back memories! My daughters would drag things out for hours, and their work was not quality just surface cleaning. Their dragging their feet with their chores caused everyone a lot of stress. Because all of us have very busy schedules, I compromised knowing to pick my battles wisely. And I decided that this battle just wasn’t worth it to me. I ended up hiring a cleaning lady to come in every other week to deep clean. This allowed the girls to just pick up their things and do some basic surface cleaning in between. I still have that same wonderful cleaning woman after all these years and it feels so good to have professional cleanings that leave me with more free time and less stress.

    1. Thankfully, my kids are good cleaners and usually do a really good job. I just wish they didn’t take so long to do them.

  7. I was also a fan of doing chores slowly! Cleaning my room was probably one of the easiest to drag out all day.
